Service Panel Upgrades on your Solar and/or Battery Storage Unit
The job has been reviewed and electrical work may be required with your solar panel installation and/or battery storage unit. A main service panel upgrade is a common type of work that is done. If your existing service panel can’t handle the additional load it will not meet up to code for additional power sources.
We would need to upgrade your service panel to a larger one. You can increase the bus bar size, allowing for a higher capacity. Or you can upgrade the main breaker as well as the bus bar. This increases the number of amps from 100 to 200. Your utility and the work order that is issued will determine which option is best for your home.
