Semper Solaris is donating a solar panel system to Air Force veteran, Amy Luiz. Around midway through high school, Amy realized she wanted to join the military, inspired by her family's history of service. Her grandpa was a WWII veteran, and her siblings had joined the Navy. After graduating from high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Air Forces. She served for six years at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska as an Aviation Resource Manager, supporting various reconnaissance squadrons and platforms. During her time in Nebraska, she formed deep friendships and became a mother to two daughters, Halia and Ashlynn. Later, she was stationed at Kadena AB, Japan, supporting the 33rd Rescue Squadron and the HH-60G Pave Hawk. Her service took her to various locations, including Alaska and Bagram AB, Afghanistan, where she played crucial roles in Combat Search and Rescue efforts. Semper Solaris is honored to be donating this solar panel system this Veteran's Day.
