Jason DiMartino enlisted in the Navy at 18, following in the footsteps of his father, a Navy veteran who showed him what a life of service looked like. From 1996 to 2001, he served as an AME Aviation Structural Mechanic with VP-91 and VR-55 squadrons, supporting counter-narcotics and logistics missions during the Gulf War era and achieving the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. After his service, Jason faced two defining battles: a cancer diagnosis in 2019, which he fought through successfully and is now in remission, and a life-altering accident on Veterans Day 2021 that left him a quadriplegic. He spent months rehabilitating at a VA Spinal Cord Injury unit, and came out the other side with the same resolve he carried in uniform. Today, Jason is a husband, father of two daughters, a business owner, and an active supporter of his local veteran community. On Memorial Day 2026, Semper Cares is honored to give back to a man who has never stopped giving to others by installing a brand new Tesla Battery Storage system.
