Sergeant Eric Rodriguez joined the United States Marine Corps at just 17 years old, with his father’s signature paving the way for a lifetime of service and sacrifice. After more than a decade in uniform, his mission was cut short when an IED explosion caused severe injuries, resulting in the loss of his right foot and part of his calf, along with serious damage to his arm and leg. Despite these life-changing wounds, Eric’s fighting spirit never wavered. He endured months of recovery at Balboa Naval Medical Center and went on to embrace life with courage, competing in wheelchair basketball, surfing, shooting, and even monoskiing.
Today, Sergeant Rodriguez is a proud father of four, continuing to work hard to provide for his family. His home, built in 2009, has aging windows that have long needed replacement. Through Semper Cares Project Alpha-Alpha, Semper Windows is honored to install brand-new, energy-efficient windows for this remarkable Marine—a small way to give back to a hero who has given so much for our country.
