Solar Projects 101 – What to Expect #2: Permit Process
Once you submit your approval on the overlay, the next step is the permitting process. We submit all the paperwork to the authority in jurisdiction so that your solar project may be approved by the city.
The permitting approval may take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. The only reason this process would take longer is if the utility company decides that you need panel work. If there are corrections, we’ll make sure that we facilitate these corrections and move forward. We’re available to give you an update at any time, but will definitely contact you once the permit has been approved.
